My path to family mediation has been shaped by both professional experience and a deep personal understanding of what families face when relationships break down.

I trained as a family mediator with Crowther Mediation and am currently working towards my FMC accreditation, supported by an experienced Professional Practice Consultant (PPC). My practice is grounded in ethical, reflective mediation — with a commitment to impartiality, safety and ongoing professional development.

My Journey to Mediation

Before training as a mediator, I worked for many years supporting families navigating some of the most challenging periods of their lives — separation, divorce and the complex process of rebuilding. My career in corporate sales and communication, and my experience building and managing my own business, gave me a strong foundation in structured dialogue, negotiation and helping people express what matters most under pressure.

Over time, I noticed a recurring theme: conflict does not end with a legal decision and families carry it long after proceedings have concluded. I became increasingly drawn to mediation because it offers something the court process often cannot. It offers a structured, human space where people can be heard, work through their differences and make their own informed decisions about the future. Mediation does not take sides or prescribe outcomes; it creates the conditions for people to find clarity and move forward.

My Approach

My background in trauma-informed practice means I am attentive to the emotional landscape of each session; not just the words spoken, but the unspoken layers beneath them. I am particularly mindful of issues of safety, power and vulnerability, and I approach every case with care, steady presence and a commitment to ensuring mediation remains a safe and appropriate process for everyone involved.

At the Heart of My Work

At the heart of my work is a belief that families deserve a better path through conflict — one that reduces harm, supports children and helps people move toward practical, sustainable arrangements. Mediation, when practised with skill and compassion, can make that possible.

I am based in Whitstable and work with clients across Kent, offering sessions in person, online, or via shuttle mediation.
